The Annual General Meeting of The Cairngorms Campaign will be held on Saturday 14 November in the Old Kirk, Nethy Bridge, starting at 12.30pm
with a visit to School Wood, the site where the Campaign and many others have opposed controversial housing developments, with some success. The AGM formal business will commence at 14.00 hrs.
A full agenda will be available at the meeting, but the most important business will be to see whether several new volunteers will come forward willing to serve on the Committee and take the Campaign forwards.
Having seen the Campaign solvently through the Legal Challenge to its disappointing outcome, the Treasurer and several other committee members wish to retire, and unless new volunteers come forward, the future of the Campaign is uncertain. The Editor of the Newsletter also wishes to retire, after very many years outstanding service to the Campaign. The Campaign has operated without a Chairman for several years, but this vacancy should also be filled.
So if you care about the Cairngorms, please consider making a difference, and helping the Campaign by volunteering. Feel free to contact any of the present committee to discuss what is involved, and we will try to ensure a smooth hand-over.

All are welcome to attend either or both the visit to School Wood and the main agenda. If you are coming along to School Wood bring suitable walking and weather gear. Refreshments will be provided back at the Old Kirk.
